My mom and her friend were in Memphis this evening for a doctor’s appointment.  She always schedules her doctor’s appointments near the end of the day, so that she can see my siblings and I for dinner.  I try my hardest to take her to a different restaurant every time she visits.  Thankfully, Memphis is chock-full of fantastic restaurants, so she’s never bored.

Tonight, we just headed up Peabody Ave. to Slider Inn.  I love Slider Inn.  Opened last August by Downtown’s BarDog owner, Aldo Martino, Slider Inn has quickly become a Midtown staple. A simple menu of lots of different kinds of sliders – burgers, chicken, BLT, vegetarian, vegan – you name it, Slider Inn has it.

Aldo also flies in lobster three times a week for some of the best reviewed lobster rolls.  I have to admit that I am not a huge lobster fan, so I’ve never tried them, but my friends who have said that they are well worth their $17 price tag.  I’ll trust them and just stick to my burgers.

While the sliders are the namesake – it’s the fries that have stolen my heart.  They mix up the most delicious blend of sweet and salty (seriously – best food combination ever) shoestring fries, served with a yummy bourbon mayo.  I crave these fries.  Perfectly crunch and sweet and salty – Yum.  Absolute perfection.

Today, I had a mix and match plate of the Memphis Original, the Lowrider and the Blue Cheese and Onions. Um, yum.

If you find yourself needing a patio to park upon, head on over to Slider Inn.
